Manchester Airport Terminal 2

Terminal 2 is home 80 check in desks, 5 baggage carousels and handles about 54,000 pieces of luggage a day! You’ll have the choice of over 20 shops and eateries to keep you busy and on top of that, there are 24 of the 56 operating airlines based at this terminal.

Checking in

The Check-in desks can be found on the upper level of departures. Be sure to check the live departures information to stay up to date with any changes to your flight.
It’s always wise to give yourself plenty of time to check in before a flights, and we advise giving yourself around;

Allow 90 minutes to check in for Domestic Flights

Allow 2 hours to check in for European Flights
Allow 3 hours to check in for International Flights
Self service check-in is available at Manchester Airport, with kiosks situated in the Departures area of each Terminal. The kiosks are conveniently located to allow you avoid the queues by printing your Boarding Pass yourself.
All you need is your passport, e-ticket number or credit card used to book, follow the on screen instructions to print off your boarding card and drop off your luggage at the bag drop desks. The locations of the bag drop desks are marked on screens next to the kiosk..
Fast Track is a new service that allows you to skip the security queues using a dedicated Fast Track Lane – and for only £5 extra per person!

Arrivals is located on the lower level. You can check arrival times online here.

International connections do not need to go through Immigrations or Customs but all International to Domestic connections do.

Domestic to International connections can use the special Immigration check points if baggage is through-checked.

Luggage Extras

There are multiple luggage extras available, all provided by Luggage Point:

Left Luggage: You can leave your luggage in their secure storage unit for up to a week. Prices start from £8 per item but vary depending on the bag size and length of storage, so please visit their website for more information.

Lost Property: Lost items are logged and stored in their secure facilities and will be subject to a retrival fee. You can opt to collect form the airport, nominate a friend to collect your items or have them stored and shipped to you.

Bag Wrapping: Protect your luggage by having it professionally wrapped in protective film for £10 per item. Tel: 0330 223 0893 (option 4)

Changing Places

Manchester Airport are proud to provide Changing Places – specially adapted facilities for disabled travellers, offering a spacious and comfortable environment for personal care. Teh facilities can be found within Arrivals in T2

Children’s’ Play Areas

Next to Gate 213, you’ll find a dedicated play area for under 3s, as well as an area for slightly older children

Information Desk

Located between Gates 211-215. You’ll also find one in the arrivals hall where they will be happy to assist you with any onwards travel arrangemnts, such as hotel reservations.

Luggage Trolleys

Available in departures for the small fee of £1 / €2.

Places of Worship

Multi-faith Prayer Rooms are accessible 24 hours a day, and there are two located in T2. The first in Arrivals can be found at the end of the main arrivals concourse whilst the second is after security in departures. You’ll find the room opposite Boots and Travelex at the bottom of the stairs.
